Opium War



During 1880’s the conflict between China and Britain was reached the peak due to the Opium trade banned in China by the Emperor Qing.  The opium war  divide into two wars, First Opium War (1839 – 1842) and Second Opium war (1856 – 1860).

Chine used Opium for medicinal purpose, later the European practiced opium to Chinese people for smoking which cause dramatic affects whole Chinese health. British export opium to china, 128 tonnes in 1729, 256 tonnes in 1790 and after the first opium war it increased more than 4,480 tonnes.




Due to the Opium war china forced to sign in the “Peace Treaty of Nanking” which allows the british to trade opium in china without any bans and "Treaty of Tien-tsin" signed in Tianjin which leads to open the china ports for foreigner trade.

Tenzing Norgay




World’s First Mount climbers who reach the Everest summit - “Edward Hillary and Tenzing Norgay” in 29 May 1953.

Tenzing Norgay or Namgyal Wangdi (1914 – 1986) was well known as Nepali Sherpa mountaineer also Known as Sherpa Tenzing. He was born in Khumbu, Nepal. In 1935 he got his first opportunity to join in the Mount Everest Expedition. In 1947 Tenzing and his team (Ange Dawa Sherpa and Earl Denman) were made an illegal attempt to reach the Everest but it was unsuccessful due to heavy storm in 22,000ft then they came down. In 1953, tensing accomplished with New Zealand Mountain climber Edward Hillary was made a world first successful attempt to the summit of Mount Everest. 

Times Magazine published Tenzing Norgay as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century.

Edward Hillary



World’s First Mount climbers who reach the Everest summit - “Edward Hillary and Tenzing Norgay” in 29 May 1953.

Edward Hillary (1919 – 2008) was explorer, mountaineer and Philanthropist who was born in New Zealand. In 1939, Hillary’s first mount climb attempt in the summit Mount Ollivier, New Zealand. In 1951 and 1953 his attempt was failed to climb the “Cho Oyu mount in Nepal”. In 1953, Edward Hillary accomplished with Nepali Sherpa mountain climber Tenzing Norgay was made a world first successful attempt to the summit of Mount Everest.

Times Magazine published Edward Hillary as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th Century.
